The Garden State Fellowship of Regular Baptist Churches plans a number of events throughout the year to facilitate fellowship and encouragement between its member churches.
The Fellowship also strives to maintain contact information from its member churches and privide that information as a resource to the public.
Our Fall fellowship is held the Sunday of Labor Day weekend at New Life Island, central in the state. This fellowship time incorporates some of the amenities available at the camp, a great dinner, and a concert of praise by a guest worship team. In 2010 there were over 190 in attendance from churches across the state. It was a great time for entire families of our churches to come and enjoy the camp, the fellowship, the music, and the ministry of the Word.
The second fellowship is held around the 3rd week of January at various locations announced ahead of time. Each fellowship time is geared uniquely to provide opportunities for encouragement and refreshing for the members of our churches.
The third meeting is held near the 3rd week in April at various locations.
Starting in the winter of 2010, the teens of the state were brought together for an opportunity to learn about biblical worship. The event was organized through the cooperation of a number of churches including the host church, Shawnee Baptist Church in Shamong, NJ.
Three worship teams from fellowshipping churches led groups in studying biblical principles for worship, focusing on how to lead worship without it becoming a performance. Three seperate groups of teens made up their own worship teams and worked together with the adult teams in preparation for the worship time at the end of the night.
They also provided activites throughout the time for the teens that weren't focused on the music aspect. This is becoming an annual event for the teens of the state.
